Air Berlin - Fly the Euro Shuttle!

Air Berlin is a low fares airline headquartered at Berlin (Tegel) airport in Germany. From the UK, flights depart from London (Stansted) and Manchester and fly direct to Berlin (Tegel), Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Nuremberg, Hanover, Leipzig and Paderborn and Münster in Germany. From their hub at Berlin airport they fly to attractive destinations all over Europe. Air Berlin prides itself on excellent service onboard provided by friendly cabin crew, something for which they have already received multiple awards. Readers of the trade journal "Reise und Preise" ("Travel and Prices") voted Air Berlin the top German airline. In 2003 Air Berlin carried 9.6 million passengers which made it the second largest German airline after Lufthansa. View Flight Schedules

Airberlin

Air Berlin is a discount airline, the second-largest in Germany, with service to most major European destinations as well as holiday hotspots in the Canary Islands, across the Mediterranean and even into North Africa. These connections are handled across a network of 16 airports in Germany, with headquarters at Berlin-Tegel International Airport.

The service provided by Air Berlin is unique among discount airlines in that many services normally cut out by other no frills airlines are still included with Air Berlin. Free in-flight meals and refreshments are sometimes included with the standard ticket price, and passengers still receive the convenience of advanced seat reservations at no additional cost. When the meal is not included, passengers have the option to purchase impressive gourmet meals a la carte.

Another diversion from standard low-cost tactics is that service exceeds limited point-to-point transport through onward connections across the airline's many satellite hubs. As with other competing low-cost airlines, Air Berlin helps keep its costs down by encouraging automated web check-in and supplying self check-in stations at the terminal.
